Live tracking of cap-and-trade auction prices and emissions policy
A live dashboard tracking California’s cap-and-trade program — current settlement prices from California-Quebec joint auctions, emissions caps, complementary policies, and the legal framework from AB 32 through AB 1279. The site is fed by an automated pipeline that pulls auction results as CARB publishes them, so the price chart and recent-results table stay current without manual updates.
I originally built this at Climate Policy Initiative and have since maintained and extended it. It’s used by researchers, journalists, and policy folks who need a quick read on where the carbon market is and what’s coming next.
